The Vice-Chancellor holds a significant position within the University, overseeing various academic officers such as Deans, Directors, the Registrar, the Controller of Examinations, and administrative heads. These individuals, either directly or indirectly, report to the Vice-Chancellor.
One of the key responsibilities of the Vice-Chancellor is to recommend to the Executive Council the establishment or continuation of academic units, programs, and recruitment. They also play a crucial role in determining the promotion of faculty and other employees of the institution. In addition, the Vice-Chancellor is responsible for formulating and issuing rules and regulations that align with statutory policies and procedures.
Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor acts as a vital link between the University and various governmental and non-governmental agencies and institutions at local, state, regional, national, and international levels. This interface facilitates collaboration and cooperation, aiming to enhance and expand the University’s programs and services to benefit the broader community.

Question Paper Setting and Moderation: The Examination Cell works with faculty members to develop question papers for exams. It ensures that the question papers are aligned with the prescribed curriculum, learning objectives, and assessment criteria. The cell may also be involved in moderating and validating question papers to maintain the desired standards.
Examination Logistics and Resource Management: The Examination Cell coordinates the logistics and resources required for conducting examinations. It arranges examination halls or centers, seating arrangements, and necessary facilities such as stationery, equipment, and invigilator support. It also manages the allocation and distribution of examination materials.
Invigilation and Examination Security: The Examination Cell recruits and assigns invigilators or proctors to oversee the examination process. It ensures that invigilators are adequately trained and briefed about examination protocols and guidelines. The cell also implements measures to maintain examination security, prevent cheating or malpractice, and handle any incidents or irregularities that may occur during exams.
Exam Administration and Timely Execution: The Examination Cell is responsible for the smooth administration and execution of exams. It ensures that the necessary arrangements are in place, and the examination process follows the established guidelines and rules. The cell monitors the progress of exams, manages the distribution and collection of answer scripts, and maintains confidentiality and integrity throughout the process.
Results Processing and Publication: Once the exams are conducted, the Examination Cell manages the process of result processing and publication. It collects and evaluates answer scripts, coordinates with evaluators, calculates grades or marks, and prepares the final result sheets. The cell ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and timely announcement of results.
Exam Revaluation and Rechecking: The Examination Cell facilitates the process of revaluation or rechecking of answer scripts for students who request it. It establishes a mechanism for students to apply for reevaluation, manages the collection of revaluation fees, coordinates with evaluators, and communicates the rechecked results to the students.
Records Management and Archiving: The Examination Cell maintains records and archives related to examinations, including exam schedules, question papers, answer scripts, results, and other relevant documents. It ensures proper documentation and storage of examination-related data for future reference and compliance requirements.
Coordination with Academic Departments and Stakeholders: The Examination Cell collaborates closely with academic departments, faculty members, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and communication regarding examination-related matters. It addresses queries, provides necessary information, and resolves issues or concerns raised by students or faculty members.
