Raj Swaminathan

After a very satisfying and professionally fulfilling 35-years senior executive career, Raj recently stepped down from his corporate executive roles to pursue his many interests and newer passions in consulting, entrepreneurship, CXO advisory & coaching besides academics.

In his last role, Raj was the Chief Executive of Indus Software, a leading Financial Services focused software product company. As part of the RSystems Group, he was also the Executive Director and key member of the Board of the public company for more than decade, having led the company through its IPO in its early stages of growth. He led the company through multiple mergers and acquisitions too across Asia and Europe and US.

He was previously Vice-President & CIO at GE Capital, India (1995-2006) and part of the senior global IT Leadership team at GE Consumer Finance. In this role, he established the operating platform for the pioneering growth of Consumer Finance in India through robust technology implementations and adoption of GE’s famed 6-Sigma implementations.

In his earlier role, Raj was Head of IT at Standard Chartered Bank, India (1987-95) responsible for core systems development and Product implementations across Retail Banking, Branch Operations, Corporate Banking & Trade Finance, Treasury and Custodial Services businesses.

Raj is a Mechanical Engineer by education with a post-graduate MBA from XLRI. He is currently also pursuing his Executive Fellow (Doctoral) Program at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad
